Business Killing Mistakes You Should Never Make



Very often the mistakes you make with marketing on the web are preventable. One of the worst things you can get in the habit of doing is constantly second guessing everything you do. So then you will need to find your center of balance and perform your business tasks. After the fact, if you discover you made the wrong decision, then correct it and look at what's next.


Never anticipate or expect to make a mistake in your business and proceed with confidence.


Yes, there are still some people who insist on trying to game the SEO game, and they always end up starting over. One of the most common mistakes and poor judgment calls has to do with SEO and backlinks. If you want backlinks or SEO benefits, you can forget about using articles or article directories. Those days are completely over and have been for at least a couple of years. Unfortunately most newbies insist that this is the name of the game because they are using completely old information. It isn't just the article directories, though--there are other sources that aren't reliable. You have to update your knowledge base about what has been changing. Those who are early in their IM careers can sometimes be hard to deal with if they are not willing to learn things on their own. We tend to think that achieving a fully comprehensive understanding about advertising will not be done in one sitting.

So you can easily see that it really can be dangerous to attempt some strategies until you are completely sure of what you are doing.

As we proceed with our talk about these strategies, bear in mind they are just the tip of the iceberg. Be forewarned as you travel in your journey because always suspecting there is something else that is part of the puzzle will keep you sharp.

The thing about not knowing is you do not know that your knowledge is incomplete, and so doing something like networking or joining a mastermind group can be extremely helpful. There are so many mistakes just waiting to happen to people in online marketing. Millions of IM marketers for years have been getting material for content at the same places. It is possible that you have to, so you know all of the places where it is possible to find rehashed and recycled content. But this isn't a strategy that can really help you. More than anything, think about your visitors when they slowly realize they have read your information somewhere else. Use better resources for your research if you want to get better results. The fact of the matter is that people who surf the web are constantly wanting to find information that is new and different from the information they already know.


Burn this in your head that the only kind of visitors you ever want are those that are highly targeted to your niche. That should be true but I'm not so sure all marketers or businesses know how to get it. But it's just part of learning IM and so it's understandable that new marketers will not be sure about it. It is easy to fall into the trap of going for volume rather than quality. Nothing works in your niche quite like the way targeted traffic ever will which is why you need to search for them. Avoid going for any kind of traffic unless you have no value for the way you spend your time. Try to have a healthy perspective on what you are doing in your business. If you can develop this, the mistakes you make aren't going to seem that bad. Keeping a level head is the goal because that is what will help you function.
