How to Deal with the Google Penguin Algorithm Changes

Business owners wanting to diversify operations and expand to go beyond the boundaries of Google is completely normal and natural. The most recent algorithm update from Google has been named Penguin and though it has a different name, it is pretty much par for the course with that company. You'll need to make your own decisions, obviously. If you weren't hit all that hard, you probably don't see any reason to address the little things. You can, though, diversify the marketing that you want to do while still appeasing the powers that be at Google.

One of the primary things affecting Google in regard to the Penguin update is the anchor text that leads back to your site. Using the same anchor text over and over has been found to be a bad idea. It is important that your anchor text to reflect a more natural look. By using your brand name, along with other words, you will be fine. Even though you may have exact match keyword phrases, they should never be used 100%. If you do that, then you will raise some red flags with Google. People can now improve their rankings, by the way, by using negative SEO tactics.

Anything that bares even the tiniest resemblance to spam is going to be laser targeted by Google. One of the areas that are typically unclear are site wide links. Most of the time these are the links you'll see in a website's footer...or right on top of it. It's sort of like taking the shotgun approach to visibility when it comes to links. If you use the same exact links site-wide, you're just asking to get slapped by Google. If you have them, take them down or keep them from being identical all over the site. The area is still suitable for linking, but the links ought not be identical throughout the site. You also shouldn't use the same anchor text with those links. You know there are many methods available to use with online marketing, and advertising is merely one of them but it should be seriously considered. Our attitudes always have a tremendous impact on what we achieve, and that is no less true when you are in business. There are all kinds of expressions thrown around such as a success mindset, for instance, and there is a great deal of credence in that concept. You will find many people whose performance reflects their attitudes such as high performance businesses who achieve a great deal to those who do enough to get by. You do have the power to change how you think, and we will tell you that negative-based thinking will always keep you down. Everybody wants control and most think they do not have it - we know that is not true. What do you believe?

You've probably also heard the word "infographics" a lot lately. These are just images that are highly relevant and contain appropriate descriptions in their file names. To get the most potential from infographics, you need to build them for links that work with your internal link structure, though it is possible to use them as external links as well. Use these images alongside a Pinterest marketing funnel to help them become even more powerful. It's clear that you should be able to do more with images than you ever have before and not using them to the best of your ability is the same as wasting your marketing energy. It also should go without saying that high quality graphics will have greater effectiveness, too.

If you have found out that Google's Penguin updates have given you a bunch of stuff to do, here is the best way to go about taking care of everything. Take it one thing at a time, especially if you have to fix both optimization as well as content problems. Take care of the anchor text in your backlinks if you have to. Before you do anything else, address all of the bad site URLs as well as taking care of any problem issues that might have arisen.
